It's Christmas Time....
It's Christmas time
There's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time
We let in light and we banish shade
...and so begins one of my favourite Christmas songs. (Band Aid 1984)
I was watching the video clip yesterday on You Tube as I do most years, and it led me to reflect on age and life. Some of the singers in that clip have now passed on, and the others are heading into their later years.
Many of them achieved great things, both in the music world and in fundraising.. the Feed the World initiative of Bob Geldof.
As an author, I would hope that I've brought pleasure to my readers in the past year. Reading a Christmas message this week that thanked me for all my books made me smile. and fired that enthusiasm to keep writing the many stories that are in my head.
2017 is ending on a nice note. My new release (out 15 January ) HIS OUTBACK NANNY reached #2 on a bestseller list on pre-order last night. You can see it on my website... http://www.annieseaton.net/prickle-creek-farm. html
Have you read the Prickle Creek Farm series? I have e-copies of Book 1 and 2 to give away to a lucky person who comments below in the next 24 hours... up until the main prize for the Coastal Christmas Blog Hop is drawn.
A huge thank you to the 29 authors who participated in the blog hop. It has been an amazing success and the blogs have been wonderful. If you haven't had a chance to read them, click here and have a browse... wonderful recipes, tips for your pets, Christmas decorations, nostalgic stories, ghostly stories and many other interesting things!
I hope you've all discovered new authors to read too.
So 24 hours left to enter the draw for $150 gift card first prize , and second prize of 30 e-books. Plus another 30 e-books are being given away to commenters on each blog.
I would like to wish each and every one of my readers a wonderful festive season, wherever and however you celebrate. I hope you have a wonderful 2018 with those you love ..... and reading many fabulous books!

I agree, the Band Aid 1984 recording is my favourite too, and not just at Christmas. I don't like the more recent recordings (89, 04 & 14) anywhere near as much.
